Two types of grants are available:

1.     Teacher Grants
a.Up to $1,000
b.Individual teachers
c.Individual classroom use

2.      School Impact Grants
a.Up to $10,000
b.Multiple teachers
c.Multiple classes must be affected

Application Process
*Applications are available through TPSD.
*Grant writing workshops are hosted in by TFAE. 
*Application deadline August 30, 2010.

Funding
*TFAE grants are funded by interest earnings from the AEF endowment, 
  Community Grant Sponsors and BESE matching funds.
* The grants are approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.

Review Process
*Grant teams read the anonymous applications and determine which 
  to fund based on creativity, innovation, necessity and fund availability.
* The grant applications are read and selected, by teams of community
  volunteers, consisting of retired educators, business leaders, and
  community activists.

Grant winners are announced at the annual
Academic Excellence Teacher Awards.


Grants are offered annually to Terrebonne Parish
Public School Teachers grades PK-12.
